here we go again

Yes, baby #2 is on the way. It’s on the internet now so that makes it official. Due date is July 28 (two days after my 30^th birthday). So, that makes me 11 weeks along, almost to the 2^nd trimester. Which apparently for me does not mean the end of morning sickness, but rather the peak. Oh well, at least I knew what to expect this time. So, if I have seemed forgetful, irritated, or less-energetic than normal to anyone, at least now you know why.

We are all very excited. Liam totally understands, having just witnessed his auntie’s pregnancy. He talks about the baby in Mommy’s tummy, although it took a little time for him to get it straight that there is just one baby this time, not two like Auntie Anne. We let him announce it to our family when they came for Christmas. He’s been behaving very well lately because he knows I’m not feeling well, so that’s been nice. Sometimes I have to go lay down and he’ll say, “I’ll fix you Mommy.” He will grab his doctor play set and then check my reflexes, listen to my heart, give me a shot and conclude “Ok Mommy, you’re all better now.” It’s nice to be taken care of. Phil is doing a great job at that too. I couldn’t ask for more.
