We have been having an unintentional four-day weekend. It started out great. Saturday we took a trip to the Seattle Aquarium.
Then that afternoon we celebrated Phil's Grandma's 98th Birthday.

We had a lovely day and a relaxing evening and just as Phil and I were about to turn of SNL and call it a day, Liam ran out of his room and vomited everywhere. This continued about every 10 minutes for the rest of the night while Phil and I took shifts caring for him. We zealously washed our hands until they were raw and I changed shirts every time I went to pick up Vivian in a desperate attempt to contain the virus. We quarantined ourselves on Sunday. By Monday Liam was on the mend but Phil and I were starting to feel it. That night Phil had the worst of it so I was on solo-duty with the kids. Liam found Phil's childhood teddy bear and tucked it into bed with him, "Daddy this will make you feel better." Just as Phil regained his strength Vivian threw up. Sweet girl, she never even complained and as soon as it was over she started laughing and kicking with delight, probably because her tummy felt so much better. Today we were all feeling mostly better but stayed home just to recover. As much as I hate everyone being sick, I have to admit it was nice spending four days just laying around the house together.

So tonight we worked on getting the house sterilized and back in order. When Phil opened the dishwasher to load it, he noticed a small pool of water at the bottom. He began to investigate what was blocking the drain. Then this happened...
It looks like the part we need is not available in stores so we will have to order it, which will take a few days. In the meantime I will try to keep Liam from "fixing" it himself. The circus continues...
